Bloomberg Arts Internship

The Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) provides rising high school seniors with paid, real-world experience at arts and culture organizations across Philadelphia, building professional skills and career readiness.

Advancing Philadelphia’s Creative Workforce

BAI is a rare, high-impact, and paid opportunity for Philadelphia students—offering competitive wages and supportive benefits such as transportation and meals—while simultaneously strengthening the talent pipeline for the city’s vibrant arts and culture community.

What is BAI?

The Bloomberg Arts Internship programs prepare rising high school seniors in Philadelphia and six additional cities nationwide for meaningful careers in the creative economy. Interns are placed with local arts and culture organizations where they gain paid, hands-on experience while participating in structured professional development, cultural immersion, and post-secondary readiness programming.

In Philadelphia, BAI represents a rare, high-impact paid opportunity for students—offering competitive wages ($20+ per hour for Summer 2026) along with transportation and meal support. The program not only equips young people with critical professional skills, but also strengthens the future workforce of our region’s vibrant cultural sector.

Throughout the program, interns build capacity through four core pillars:

  • Post-Secondary Readiness: Preparing students to transition confidently into college, training programs, or careers.
  • Self-Advocacy: Developing the tools to navigate professional spaces with confidence and clarity.
  • Self-Actualization: Connecting personal strengths and interests to long-term goals.
  • Public Speaking: Building the confidence to communicate effectively across audiences.

By investing in young talent today, BAI helps ensure a stronger, more inclusive creative workforce tomorrow.
