Cultural Alliance Welcomes Five New Board Members
Philadelphia, September 17, 2015—The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors:
- Denice M. Hasty, Senior Vice President of Business Marketing & Product Management, Comcast Business, Comcast Corporation
- Jeri Lynne Johnson, Founding Artistic Director, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra
- Kathryn Ott Lovell, Executive Director, Fairmount Park Conservancy
- Ken Metzner, Executive Director, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers
- Rosalind Remer, Vice Provost and Lenfest Executive Director, Center for Cultural Partnerships, Drexel University
All were voted in during the September 16 meeting of the Board, and bring valuable experience to the Cultural Alliance.
“We are honored to welcome such high-caliber candidates,” said Maud Lyon, Cultural Alliance President. “Having these esteemed leaders from the cultural and corporate sectors join our Board greatly benefits the Alliance, as well as the Greater Philadelphia cultural sector as a whole.”
These new members fill several recent vacancies created by outgoing Board Members concluding their service: Drew Becher, former President of The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society; Veronica Castillo-Perez, Interim Administrator of The Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO); Danielle Cohn, Sr. Director of Entrepreneurial Engagement at Comcast; Peter Intermaggio, Senior Vice President for Marketing Communications at Comcast Cable; Kelly Lee; and Ed Tettemer.
Additional changes to the Board included the election of two new Vice Chairs: Catherine M. Cahill, President & CEO of The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, and Virginia Logan, Executive Director of Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art.
