The Director of Development (DOD) is a new role which will work to further the mission and reach of the Wharton Esherick Museum by creating, leading, and executing a comprehensive development effort to support our organizational growth and exciting future plans.

The Franklin Institute, the most visited museum in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, strives to be the world leader in promoting science and technology education and literacy through inspiring and engaging experiences that cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and an understanding of the crucial role science plays in our lives.

The Executive Director is the face of the organization and chief spokesperson, conveying passion of place, caretaking of its collections and promoting educational programs. The Executive Director oversees operations, finances, development, rental units and a small, dedicated staff as well as partners with the Board of Directors to guide strategic direction and planning.

Founded in 1982 to preserve the richly authentic 19th-century crossroads village of Sugartown, Historic Sugartown stewards 11 structures and 9.2 acres located within the Sugartown National Register District in Malvern, Chester County, PA. Historic Sugartown’s collections interpret 19th-century rural village community life in Pennsylvania and early American craftsmanship including domestic, industrial, and agricultural artifacts. HSI also stewards collections owned by the Chester County History Center (CCHC) that support HSI’s interpretive programs and exhibits.

The Delaware Art Museum seeks an emerging museum professional for the new position of Art Bridges Fellow, a three-year, full-time position in the Art and Learning Department. The position is designed to offer emerging museum professionals the opportunity to work closely with registrars, curators, preparators, educators, and interpretation staff for an expansive understanding of the collections, exhibition, and education activities within a museum.

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library encompasses an unrivaled museum of American decorative arts in its mansion and galleries and a magnificent 60-acre naturalistic garden—all set on 1,000 gorgeous acres.

Winterthur employs a wide array of positions in the areas of curatorial, horticulture, education, conservation, library, maintenance, marketing, development, technology, and administration.

Schedule: Part-time, 18-25 hours per week, Saturdays, Sundays, weekdays

Salary: Hourly, starting $16/hour

Reporting
The Visitor Services Associate works independently and cooperatively with staff and reports directly to the Retail Manager, Marylynn Mack.

Atelier Fine Art Services is seeking a full-time Fine Art Crate Fabricator/Carpenter in Philadelphia of any level to become part of the crate fabrication and construction team. This position is responsible for the production of custom made museum crates, travel frames, inner boxes, and inner components that are at times complex. Fabricators are familiar with a wide range of hand and power tools, including table saws, band saws, miter saws, routers and drills/impact drivers. Self motivation, time management, and attention to detail are essential qualities.
