Teen Lounge Teaching Artist

Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial

Teen Lounge at Fleisher Art Memorial is accepting project proposals from teaching artists for paid virtual residencies! Teen Lounge is a free, drop-in after school arts program providing young people ages 13-19 with opportunities to meet and collaborate with working Philly artists.

Your proposal should offer young people an exciting opportunity to explore a theme of relevance to their age group. The submission deadline is Thursday December 10 for projects in January-February. Students will be interviewing applicants to select 4 visiting artists, who are compensated at $500 for 8 hours of instruction total.

Workshops will be held on Zoom, once a week for four consecutive weeks, on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm. Teaching artists are also invited to join our Discord server as a supplementary space to share artwork and resources. 5-10 students attend our Zoom calls daily, from a variety of levels in art making experience and access to materials -- please keep this in mind when designing your workshop!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Layla Ehsan, Teen Lounge Coordinator:
