Pennsylvania Philharmonic (www.paphilharmonic.org) a non-profit regional symphony orchestra creates and presents live and virtual interactive orchestral music education programs which connect to and draw from current Pennsylvania State education curricula. Primarily focused on engaging and inspiring students in grades 3-8, these programs are presented in school districts in mid and small-sized rural, urban and suburban communities in the Lehigh Valley, Central & Southeastern Pennsylvania. Led by renowned music director, Michael Butterman and comprised of some of the finest professional freelance musicians the Pennsylvania Philharmonic’s performances aim to introduce the orchestral art form while connecting to core curriculum and encouraging a desire to actively participate in the arts. In addition a series of public concerts are performed in communities to reinforce the Philharmonic’s music education mission.
