About InLiquid:
InLiquid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a rich history, founded in 1999 by artist Rachel Zimmerman. The organization's mission is to help artists build sustainable careers and make Philadelphia's dynamic visual arts community accessible to all. InLiquid accomplishes this by creating opportunities and exposure for contemporary visual artists through exhibitions in its InLiquid Gallery and satellite exhibition spaces. It also serves as a free public online hub, showcasing Philadelphia's diverse visual arts community. Through its efforts, InLiquid unites communities, establishes wider audiences for artists and designers, facilitates relationships between artists and collectors, and nurtures public appreciation of all forms of visual art.
Position Overview:
The Development and Fundraising Associate will work closely with and report to the Director of Development. This integral role supports InLiquid's fundraising efforts and cultivates relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and government entities to advance the organization's mission. The role is part-time, with 2-3 in-person days and occasional evening and weekend event attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with donor identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, thanking, and stewarding to foster a culture of welcome and gratitude.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of fundraising activities and perform other functional duties.
- Assist in the maintenance of the CRM/portfolio of major donors.
- Assist with grant administration, reporting, and meeting deadlines.
- To support fundraising efforts, assist with annual program-specific campaigns, such as the End of the Year Appeal, InLiquid's Annual Benefit, and Art for the Cash Poor. Support for fundraising efforts may include event planning, corporate sponsor solicitation, and logistics.
- Represent InLiquid and Development Department at meetings, public gatherings, and during solicitation activities.
- Coordinate with various InLiquid teams to integrate donation opportunities across platforms.
- Assist the Development Director in communications with donors, funder, partners, and the Board to tell the organization's story and the department priorities and progress supporting fundraising efforts.
- Maintain positive relationships with programming partners.
- Document stories and statistics to convey the impact of programs to supporters.
Requirements:
- Interest in gaining knowledge of fundraising principles and strategies.
- Interest in administrative skills and being part of teams.
- Desire to gain experience with the philanthropic and arts communities and experience working with nonprofit boards, committees, and donors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Beginner analytical skills and desire to learn; comfortability with online platforms and databases, social media, and Google platforms.
- Team player who prioritizes equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism in their work.
- Willingness and ability to attend some off-site evening and weekend meetings and events.
- A bachelor's degree or Associate degree in the process is preferred, but experience and Interest in visual art is a significant plus.
