Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Design & Digital Media Specialist creates digital graphics and multimedia content, designs print materials based on established guidelines, assists with photography and video projects, supports digital marketing efforts, and manages website content updates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design various graphics according to established design guidelines, such as marketing collateral, web and social media graphics, documents and presentations
  • Collaborate with departments throughout the organization to develop engaging digital content
  • Ensure that brand and marketing messages are clear and uniform across the website and all collateral
  • Help with all aspects of video production, including planning, shooting, post-production, and delivery
  • Assist with photography and photo editing assignments, plus other duties as assigned
  • Create, manage, and publish website content that aligns with marketing and brand strategies 
  • Analyze website metrics and technology to optimize user experience, SEO and accessibility
  • Identify and track website improvements, bug fixes, and updates
  • Stay up-to-date on new media platforms and tactics

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design and/or digital media
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (digital media, design and/or communications) or equivalent work experience required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software (including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro) and Figma
  • Demonstrated UI/UX design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for web and print
  • Experience operating audio, video, and camera equipment
  • Experience working in a website content management system, such as Drupal or Wordpress
  • Knowledge of CSS, HTML, SEO, and website analytics, a plus
  • Strong project management skills: ability to establish priorities and work with competing deadlines
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in dynamic cultural or non‐profit organization preferred
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal communication skills, as well as an eagerness to learn and develop professionally in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrates an appreciation for and interest in both art and the environment

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • $45,000 annual
  • Full time, non-exempt position (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, plus some weekends and evenings as needed.)
