The Coordinator, Talent Strategies facilitates the strategy, partnerships, and programs in support of the Chamber’s goal of connecting companies to a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline and strengthening inclusive talent practices in our region. This position is a critical organizational resource as both an internal subject-matter expert and an external relationship manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Chamber’s efforts to develop a deep understanding of employer talent needs and to help meet those needs with inclusive strategies that leverage relationships throughout the talent and workforce development ecosystem. Ultimately, our goal is to add value to Chamber members in their talent attraction, development, and retention efforts. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Vice President in the ongoing development and execution of the Greater Philadelphia Talent Network:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Talent Network: meet with employers about their talent needs, track referrals, and communicate results with key stakeholders.
- Work with a variety of regional partners to develop and implement a talent strategy that supports business objectives for key sectors and improves business performance.
- Support the team in the development of a system to assess employer talent needs on a regular basis and respond with creative and effective business solutions.
- Collect detailed information about employer workforce goals and needs
- Assist in designing and implementing plans (with assistance from Vice President) to address member’s workforce needs and identify beneficial partnership opportunities.
- Lead the coordination and communication for key talent-focused engagement groups, such as the College and University President’s Alliance
- Ensure that the talent development and retention strategy is designed and executed with the organization’s diversity and inclusion goals in mind
- Track and identify key regional workforce trends and policy initiatives.
- Monitor labor trends and provide context, based on employer need, for job-related economic impact measures.
- Help convey this information to workforce and company partners (i.e. Industry Roundtable)
- Develop an understanding and catalog of the workforce development landscape in Greater Philadelphia to support the initiatives.
- Track data and deliver key metrics to assess performance and outcomes (grant-related and organizational).
Meeting coordination and facilitation
- Assist in the development of content, agenda, facilitation and follow-up with key stakeholders for focused engagements.
These engagements will include but are not limited to:
- Collaborative meetings – i.e. College and University President’s Alliance
- Employer or Industry roundtables
Marketing and communications
- Ensure effective communication of – and the inclusion of key stakeholders in – all talent-focused external marketing
- Craft and share content with the Marketing & Creative Services team for social media, website, and newsletters.
- Communicate talent and workforce initiatives to key stakeholders within the Chamber’s staff, including the Business Development and Member Engagement business units.
Organizational and regional collaboration
- Collaborate with other local and regional organizations working to improve access and outcomes in Greater Philadelphia’s workforce ecosystem
- Support Talent programs and partnerships across the Chamber that connect employers to talent
- Engage with regional entities to understand relocation and expansion projects, and the talent needs associated with them.
- Contribute to the overall Chamber mission through information sharing and collaboration.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Specifications & Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in local or regional economic development, human resources, business development, or related workforce development preferred.
- Organizational skills and success managing and prioritizing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a team environment, with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
- Strategic thinker with an innate curiosity
- Diligence in meeting deadlines and ability to work independently
- Ability to create, strengthen, and leverage a network of relevant relationships.
- Experience interacting with C-level leaders and building relationships within the business community preferred
- Experience planning and executing meetings or events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with database management systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

Work Conditions
The Chamber is currently working in a hybrid work environment that allows for a flexible work schedule, while requiring employees to work in-person at least three days each week. When on-site, this individual will work in a typical office environment. On a standard workday, the majority of time is spent sitting at a desk, using the computer and speaking on the phone. However, at times, this role will be required to attend Chamber events or related outside meetings/events on behalf of the Chamber. These meetings/events may take place outside of regular business hours and outside of center city Philadelphia.
