The Center for the Performance and Cinematic Arts (CPCA) Coordinator Career Development will provide a wide range of career preparation opportunities for students in the Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts (CPCA), allowing students to establish strong personal connections in their field and participate in hands-on learning with professionals in their industry. Drawing from university resources and a rich alumni network, the office will be an essential resource in launching students into post-graduation employment.

The CPCA Coordinator will work directly with Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts (CPCA) students to conceive of and deliver a wide range of career preparation opportunities which will include internships, shadowing programs, workshops/festival information, career leads/opportunities, professional placement, lecturers, mentors, and other innovative approaches that will guide students to success in the various fields represented by the Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts.

The Coordinator will integrate communication between the university career center, individual departments, and faculty advisors to identify beneficial opportunities for CPCA students and assist them with taking advantage of these opportunities. In direct dialogue with the global network of CPCA alumni, this position will also help cultivate mentoring relationships between alumni and current students by monitoring successes and providing regular progress reports on connections and placements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Level: 
Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience in program/project development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
