Bario Neal

Bario Neal is a fast-growing company that is redefining jewelry as well as ethical and sustainable business practices. We are currently looking for an experienced bench jeweler at our Philadelphia Flagship location. This position would be temporary and begin in October through the end of December.




  • Degree from college or technical school, two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Superior knowledge of jeweler's tools, machinery and equipment
  • Experience with precious metals: cleaning castings, hand fabrication, polishing, and stone setting
  • Solid repair skills as well as experience sizing bands
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Able to pass a bench test for assessment


Ideal qualities include:

  • Intermediate to advanced stone setting
  • Hand engraving techniques
  • Platinum fabrication, rhodium plating, laser welding, and wax carving
  • Basic diamond and colored stone knowledge
  • Able to multitask and work well in a dynamic, ever changing environment
  • Great problem-solve skills, time management skills, and works well with tight deadlines
  • Passion for ethical, sustainable, and responsible design
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working independently and part of a team
  • Considerate, trustworthy, reliable, and enthusiastic personality


Key Responsibilities

  • Production bench work, including but not limited to: Assembly, fabrication, repair, and polishing of fine jewelry that meets Bario Neal’s quality standards
  • Messenger work to and from local contractors
  • Basic equipment maintenance
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the Bario Neal collections and ethical practices
  • Work a Monday - Friday schedule at our Philadelphia location. Adhere to assigned schedule
