Assistant Stage Manager

Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, located in historic downtown West Chester, PA, seeks an experienced, creative, personable, and well-organized

Assistant Stage Manager. (“ASM”) for the production of The Butterfingers Angel by William Gibson, Directed by Domenick Scudera.

The ASM will work closely with the Equity Stage Manager and the creative team to assist in all aspects of production including keeping rehearsals organized and fully equipped for the needs of the creative and technical teams.

Responsibilities include:

● Generate paperwork, including: Blocking notation, production meeting notes, entrance/exit plots, breakdowns, props paperwork, running orders and run sheets.

● Create and update various other show paperwork and schedules.

● Collaborate with Props and Costumes departments, including but not limited to:

Assisting with scheduling and facilitation of costume fittings, rehearsal props load in and props transfer.

● Assist the AEA Stage Manager in supervising the set up and run of the show backstage.

● Attend all Production Meetings.

● Take part in the setup/tear down of rehearsal rooms and Stage Management office before and after each rehearsal day, including but not limited to: Setting up coffee and water and sweeping/mopping the rehearsal spaces.

● Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

● Have the ability to lift 50 pounds.

● Other duties may arise. These duties will fall within the scope of the job description.

Salary $500 a week
