Purpose:              The Assistant Director of Enrollment Operations and Communications manages the daily coordination and delivery of marketing content and communications to targeted audiences adhering to the College’s communication strategy. This position serves in a leadership capacity of the Enrollment Operations team and provide support to the overall recruitment strategy. The Assistant Director will serve as the second in decision making to the Dean.


  • Bachelor degree in art, or related field;
  • 1-3+ years of related experience in higher education admissions, sales or marketing;
  • Familiarity with operational database and CRM system Slate;
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design, HTML, MS Excel, MS Access, InDesign, Photoshop;
  • Familiarity with Power Campus desired;
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines;
  • Knowledge of trends in college admissions and financial aid processes;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; confidence communicating to people from diverse backgrounds;
  • Ability to work both on campus and remotely if needed;
  • Must have availability for evening/weekend recruitment events.


  1. Design, implement and monitor BFA, Graduate and Post Baccalaureate Admissions Communication plan utilizing the Slate CRM.  Ensure that automated communications and communications outside the normal communication calendar are being sent timely to the right audience in accordance to the recruitment communication plan and calendar.
  2. Oversees, organizes, on and off campus events in relation to annual recruitment goals.
  3. Ensure CRM system is being optimized for on campus stakeholders.
  4. Coordinate weekly BFA and Graduate admissions mailings to prospective student, art educators and families.
  5. Organizes and coordinates annual updates to Communication plans, email templates, letter templates and relevant print materials for BFA and graduate programs.
  6. Manages and updates all content on prospective student portals (Slate Portal).
  7. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication team on print, web and email content as well as working with third party vendors to fulfill large mailings on behalf of the College.
  8. Serve as a mentor / team leader to the operations team by providing them with training and troubleshooting their work as needed.
  9. Develop communications plan for external stakeholders such as art educators, school counselors, and community based organizations keeping them informed about on-going initiatives related to the College.
  10. Keep appraised of industry trends and opportunities to improve processes.
  11. Events: Must also be present for on-campus recruiting events, may need to work weekends and/or weeknight, and travel to College Fairs and National Portfolio Day’s as needed.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
