Accounts Payable Clerk

Walnut Street Theatre

Walnut Street Theatre, America’s oldest theatre and one of the nation’s most financially stable arts organizations with a $16M annual budget, is accepting resumes for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk. This full-time position reports directly to the Controller.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and recording accounts payable transactions, ensuring that invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with the theatre’s policies and procedures
  • Reconciling credit card statements against receipts submitted by cardholders on a monthly basis
  • Preparing daily advance sales reports for all Mainstage, Studio and Kids performances
  • Calculating weekly royalty payments using box office reports
  • Maintaining the integrity of the office filing system for vendor payments
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years accounts payable experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and produce high quality results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work comfortably in a team environment
