Development Manager - Part Time
Fundraising Support:
- Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of over 1,000 donors with a target total gift of $200,000+ per year.
- Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan and budget.
- In collaboration with Executive leadership and Board, develop and implement long-term strategic fundraising initiatives, planned giving, and comprehensive campaigns.
- Serve as a strategic partner with Executive and Board leadership to facilitate and elevate their personal cultivation and solicitation activities.
- Plan and execute special events including the annual fundraiser and additional cultivation/stewardship events.
- In collaboration with Marketing staff, develop compelling print and digital assets to advance fundraising priorities.
- Conduct research on prospective donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Prepare and distribute donor correspondence, including thank-you letters, solicitations, and stewardship reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization’s database.
- Maintain regular communication with donors and sponsors to build and strengthen relationships.
- Coordinate donor recognition activities, including acknowledgement letters, recognition plaques, and special events.
- Support the Executive Director in donor meetings and presentations.
- Attend performances.
- Schedule meetings to connect with donors, in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Assist grant writer and Executive Director with grant writing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a development or fundraising role, preferably in the nonprofit or arts sector.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of and passion for music, particularly orchestral and popular genres.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by concerts and events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in grant writing and reporting.
- Previous experience working with a board of directors and/or volunteers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Arts Administration, or a related field is preferred.

This position requires a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will assist with donor relations, fundraising campaigns, grant writing, and special events, ensuring the smooth execution of development initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Director.
