Director of OperationsDirector of Operations About Jazz Bridge Position Overview
Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Fiscal Stewardship (50%) Lead fundraising strategy implementation under the direction of the Executive Director Research and pursue grants, donors, sponsorships, and funding opportunities Write compelling grant applications, reports, and donor communications Works with ED & Development Committee to track initiatives and results.
Concerts, Events, and Client Services (20%) Coordinate logistics for monthly concerts and special events Manage contracts, scheduling, venue communication, and supplies Oversee production needs (e.g. sound, livestreams) within budget Support confidential health/medical/legal logistics for direct client support as directed by ED
Communications & Marketing (10%) Regularly check and respond to organizational email accounts, make sure important messages are directed to the right team members, and keep staff and board informed by sharing relevant updates and information. Manage donor CRM (Neon One), acknowledgments, and tax letters Executes marketing strategy and calendar across all channels, including social media, email, press outreach, and website updates. Collaborate with designers and musicians to create promotional content Track and report on marketing results and media coverage
Financial Management & Reporting(20%) Handle day-to-day financial tasks (deposits, invoice tracking, reports) alongside the bookkeeper. Track filings and ensure compliance (e.g. tax, insurance, reporting requirements, registrations).
Qualifications Extensive experience in non-profit development and grant writing with strong writing/organizational/communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in NPO CRM (Neon or similar) , QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace Experience in marketing, PR, or social media management a plus Knowledge of the Philadelphia jazz/blues community is strongly preferred A passion for community arts and Jazz Bridge’s mission Work Environment & Flexibility
Approximately 20 hours/week with availability for concerts or events Hybrid (remote and in-person work expected) (Philadelphia-based preferred) Flexible schedule with performance-based autonomy; employee sets regular working hours with some flexibility as needed. To Apply |
