Digital Content InternThe Digital Content Intern will support the Social Media Manager and Digital Content Manager in the Communications department and work closely with the Marketing department. Primary Areas of Responsibility: Assist the Social Media Manager with content ideation, development, scheduling, and production for organic and paid social media. Assist the Digital Content Manager with writing and editing web copy as well as building and updating pages through the Museum’s website CMS (Twill). Assist in staying up to date on digital trends, including gathering and building content for Instagram Reels and TikTok. Assist in content gathering, including photography and short-form video, at select Museum events. Assist with social media and website data and analytics reporting, including helping with monthly all-staff reports. Opportunities to assist with public relations, as needed/desired, including: Assist with organizing press clips and drafting monthly media reports. Draft press releases, media alerts, and other publicity materials. Assist with updating of outside arts and cultural event calendars. Assist with press events, film shoots, photo shoots and other press visits. Opportunities to assist with marketing, as needed/desired, including: Assist with planning the paid social media ad calendar. Join digital marketing data and analytics reporting meetings. Producing evergreen digital assets, such as short-form videos, for ongoing use. Opportunities to learn about various additional Museum departments, including development, membership, collections, curatorial, education, visitor engagement, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to produce under tight deadlines with multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team. Ability to work weekends, evening hours, or holidays as needed. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite programs.
