In our assemblies, students will Experience art performed and shared by professional artists. They will Understand the art form, its cultural contexts and creative processes. And beyond that, they will also Create through interactive participation and Connect program content with their personal experiences, other academic learning and/or life-skill development.

YA assemblies are typically 45 minutes in length and take place during the school day. Our artists are independent contractors whose programs are scheduled on a gig-basis.

Compensation Note: Assembly artists set their rates for each program. Young Audiences recognizes artists' need for equitable pay that supports their individual ensemble members, covers costs like time and labor, and makes the work a fruitful effort. YA does not take a portion of artist fees and also provides a travel stipend based on distance. The range included here is not restrictive, and reflects what most of our artists typically receive for one 45-minute show -- $500 for a solo performer, $1,500 for an ensemble.
