Administrative Director

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Part-time Executive Director/Administrator
5-10 hours per week, with potential growth if successful
Hourly rate negotiable

Prospect through candid.org account (formerly Foundation Center Directory) to identify suitable funders
Author grant applications collaboratively with Board and compile required attachments
Follow up on grant applications
Closeout of grants: interim and final reports
Manage donors
Create and execute a yearly plan for individual donor appeals, based on best practices, and Nashirah’s own yearly event calendar
Thank you letters to donors

Support marketing and outreach
Maintain Nashirah’s presence on social media
Help market Nashirah’s events through outreach to suitable print, other outlets

Support Board and Ensemble activities
Schedule and attend Board meetings in collaboration with Board members, including agenda development and distribution

Maintain Ensemble rehearsal and event schedule, manage distrtibution list and
communications for Ensemble, and serve as the main point of contact

Provide ongoing administrative support
Monitor organization email and direct appropriately

Qualifications:
Interest in the mission of Nashirah
Strong organizational skills; self-starter, detail-oriented, yet strategically focused
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
Previous experience working for a nonprofit organization preferred
