Family Concept Store Manager

The right candidate will join a fast-paced, creative and detail oriented environment, and will contribute to the marketing, promotion, ecommerce and giving back components of the business. Responsibilities include: 

General leadership:

  • Serve as a proactive mentor, teacher and problem solver

Customer Care, you will be interacting with customers directly:

  • Immersing and educating yourself on our product offering to ensure an in-depth knowledge of our product assortment
  • Greeting customers in a friendly & personable manner
  • Recommending, selecting, demonstrating, helping locate merchandise based on customers’ needs/desires 
  • Answering questions, providing information & telling the story about the shoppe/merchandise
  • Exercising patience and tact when assisting children and/or particular customers
  • Managing/motivating store team to provide highest level of customer care 
  • Managing sales floor customer flow, interactions
  • Managing/executing in-store events & promotions, when applicable

Merchant skills

  • Supporting Creative Director in development, planning, scheduling, and executing in-store merchandising plan
  • Upholding all aspects of company merchandising standards 
  • Developing/utilizing all available business analysis reports to aid in business growth
  • Reviewing sales frequently, proactively recommend sales opportunities

Training & development

  • Utilizing all available training tools to provide consistent staff training
  • Administer reviews of sales associates

Operations

  • Managing all aspects of store operations
  • Executing stock replenishment activities, maintaining organized/stocked floor during open hours
  • Managing store cleanliness procedures
  • Supporting in-store and web orders as necessary
  • Training all sales associates to have the highest standards of operation
  • Adhering to all “typical day” guidelines 

Loss prevention

  • Supervising regular inventory count process  
  • Training sales associates on internal/external loss prevention
     

Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in retail environment in a supervisory/management level
  • Excellence, enthusiasm, and excitement about engaging with customers
  • Desire to be part of a tight knit team looking to transform/elevate the traditional retail experience
  • Excellent interpersonal & verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and follow-up skills 
  • Strong planning and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong listening skills
  • Dependable/reliable 
  • Computer literate, familiar with google office suite, various web apps
  • Neat and professional personal appearance
  • Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, may include repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping and stairs and lifting of up to 30 pounds.
  • Integrity, holding yourself and your employees/team to the highest standards and doing the right thing always, even when no one is looking

  • Ability to work 40 hours/week
