Studio School Front Desk Associate & RegistrarThe Abington Art Center seeks a charismatic person to assist at the Studio School front desk. The person will need to be adaptable and good at problem solving. An artistic background is preferred but not required. Candidate must be an ambassador for Abington Art Center who is able to become familiar with our organizational offerings. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, technological proficiency and familiarity with databases. The Studio School Registrar will work 20 hours per week, times to be determined based on prospective employee schedule. Responsibilities include: Fielding phone and in-person inquiries about interdepartmental offerings Registering students for classes and workshops Updating the student database Maintaining and organizing the functionality of the front office Answering emails Taking credit card payments Performing opening and closing duties Supporting studio school classroom maintenance Other duties as assigned
Pay Rate: $15/hour

Located on a historic 27-acre campus in Jenkintown, PA, just outside of Center City Philadelphia, Abington Art Center presents art exhibitions, creative programs, community forums and cultural events for the eastern Montgomery County and Philadelphia area. Their Studio School provides classes in painting, drawing, printmaking, papermaking, ceramics and metals for both adults and youth. |
