Arts & Culture Program Manager

Position Description: The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust slate of adult and family programs. The Program Manager, Arts & Culture, will report to Glen Foerd’s Assistant Director and will manage interns and part-time program staff as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Glen Foerd’s popular Artist Residency program and Teen Arts initiative.
  • Responsible for developing 1-2 additional public programs monthly.
  • Organizes public tours and trains Visitor Services Assistants to lead tours.
  • Develops and implements program evaluations.
  • Actively strives to improve interpretation of the site for guests.
  • Organizes large-scale public events, including staffing and assisting with event setup and breakdown.
  • Responsible for developing a calendar of engaging programs.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts as needed.
  • Responsible for training, developing, and motivating interns and part-time direct reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA degree in history, art, museum studies, education or closely related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • 2 years experience in program development and delivery
  • Experience organizing large-scale events for the public
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Prior experience leading a team preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with graphic design
  • Experience working with Eventbrite; Mailchimp; Squarespace; Typeform; and Canva is a plus
  • Night and weekend work may be required.

 

Compensation: $42,000 - $48,000 annually plus health insurance
