Shipping + Handling AssociateJob description Overview We are looking for a bright, energetic person for a full time position in our shipping department. We foster an artistic community of employees fabricating lighting and furniture who come from an array of creative backgrounds. Candidates must be detail oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in shipping is a plus, but will train the right person. The Shipping + Handling Associate will be working with our shipping team as well as our sales team to ensure safe and timely delivery of shipments. Ability to learn and adapt to a changing schedule is essential. Essential Duties + Responsibilities Packing boxes Shipping and receiving packages Assisting with organizing pallet shipments Light finishing work (sanding, polishing, assembly) Supply management Inventory management Assist with quality control Moving, cleaning and organizing the warehouse facility and shipping area Requirements Detail oriented with an ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to multitask and stay highly organized Ability to work in a small team environment Experience using basic hand tools (wrenches, drills etc) Willingness to learn Commitment to quality, detail focused on all levels A professional sense of problem-solving skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Knowledge of UPS software is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Ability to lift 50+ lbs Abide by facility COVID guidelines – must have proof of up-to-date vaccination and wear PPE (face mask) all day Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: One location |
