Picture Framing ConsultantPosition: Picture Frame Consultant & Administrator, Part-Time/Full-Time Company: Seven Arts Framing Location: 255 N. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, 19106 Description: Seven Arts is a custom frame shop located in Old City, Philadelphia. We specialize in framing fine art and we serve a wide range of customers from institutions and professional artists, to the casual art collector and home decorator. The position will require the person to work directly with customers, vendors, and other employees. Candidates with experience in customer service, fine art, printmaking, picture framing, and administration will be well suited for this position.
Responsibilities: - Manage the front office, working with customers in person, via email and phone. - Consult customers regarding the selection of frames, materials, and method of framing. - Scheduling customer appointments for framing consultations and picking up orders. - Writing sales orders, estimates, and processing invoices and payments. - Ordering materials and supplies from vendors. - Assistance with framing artworks and material preparation during busy times. - Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications: - Has a passion for art and framing, serving customers, and selling products. - An understanding of aesthetics, colors, and matching artwork with frames and mats. - Ability to educate customers about our framing methods and their options. - Able to take measurements and do arithmetic using fractions. - Computer savvy, with a general understanding of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat. - Effective communication skills, while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. - Strong organizational skills. |
