The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance Continues to Assist Creative Entrepreneurs: $131,480 in Grants Distributed to Support 67 Creative Businesses

Philadelphia, PA – The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance (“Cultural Alliance”) is pleased to announce the second round of grants made through the Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator, a program of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA). In this funding round, 67 creative entrepreneurs received a total of $131,480 in grants to support their small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region. In total, 90 creative entrepreneurs have received a total of $176,500 in grants to support the growth of their small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator program matches eligible creative entrepreneurs with small business consulting services and financial resources - up to $2,000 - to help them grow their businesses, audiences, and revenue.

This program is administered by the Cultural Alliance on behalf of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency. At this time, all funding made available by PCA to the Cultural Alliance has been allocated for the Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator program, proof of the strong demand within the cultural industry for this type of support. Although new applications are not currently being accepted, the Cultural Alliance anticipates receiving additional grant money to distribute in the upcoming fiscal year (July 2022).

“We are pleased to partner with PCA to provide this much needed support to creative entrepreneurs,” stated Patricia Wilson Aden, President & CEO of the Cultural Alliance.  “These businesses – and the artists behind – make a significant contribution to our region’s $4.1 billion dollar creative economy.”
