Lead Teacher, Arts Immersion Preschool (Co-teaching position)

PlayArts is seeking warm, energetic and innovative individuals to join our play based, arts-immersion preschool, PlayArts Creative!  We are currently hiring for a lead teacher to co-teach in our full day, year round preschool program. Join an incredible team in a beautiful working environment! This is a full time, salaried position with health benefits, paid training, reimbursement for clearances, paid time off (PTO) and additional paid vacation and holidays. 

Role:

• Collaborate with other instructors and co-teach preschool children in the classroom
• Create and implement detailed, age-appropriate and relevant lesson plans that align with PlayArts mission and philosophy 
• Design, create and prepare high-quality, custom materials (playdough, manipulatives, etc.) in advance of each class 
• Maintain an orderly teaching space and clean and sanitize after classes, as instructed. (You will be trained in these procedures.)

We are looking for candidates that are flexible, creative and collaborative team players that believe in our mission and core values. Classroom and/or child care experience is mandatory. Candidates with experience teaching an arts discipline (visual art, music, theater, dance, etc.) are preferred. State and Federal clearances and background checks are required.

Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid Certified preferred
• PA Driver's License or other ID
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19
• Must have PA Criminal History, FBI fingerprints, and PA Child Abuse Clearances. (Out of state clearances also required for anyone who has lived in other state(s) within the past five years.) 
• All background check clearances must be complete prior to start. (PlayArts will reimburse for any clearances that employee does not already have.)
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
