Lead Aftercare Teacher Arts Immersion Preschool)

PlayArts is seeking warm, energetic and innovative individuals to join our play based, arts-immersion preschool, PlayArts Creative! We are currently hiring for a part-time teacher (25-35 hour/wk) to co-teach in our Club Creative Aftercare program. This position could result in a full time position for the right fit. In addition to joining an incredible team in a beautiful working environment, we offer paid training, reimbursement for clearances and paid time off (PTO).
Role:
- Collaborate with other instructors and co-teach preschool children in the classroom
- Create and implement detailed, age-appropriate and relevant lesson plans that align with PlayArts mission and philosophy
- Design, create and prepare high-quality, custom materials (playdough, manipulatives, etc.) in advance of each class
- Maintain orderly teaching space and clean and sanitize after classes, as instructed. (You will be trained in these procedures.)

Requirements:
- Part-time position (25-35 hours per week, pending availability--could grow into full time for the right fit)
- CPR and First Aid Certified preferred
- PA Driver's License or other ID
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19
- Must have PA Criminal History, FBI fingerprints, and PA Child Abuse Clearances. (Out of state clearances also required for anyone who has lived in other state(s) within the past five years.) All background check clearances must be complete prior to start. (PlayArts will reimburse for any clearances that employee does not already have.)
- Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
- Must be available weekdays between the hours of 2:30-6:30pm
