Playspace Associates play an essential role at PlayArts. Above all, the job of the Playspace Associate is to interact positively with clients and attend to their needs. A successful Playspace Associate is self-motivated, friendly, detail-oriented and thorough.

ROLE

The Playspace Associate role is a part-time, WEEKEND position that includes:

  • Greet and check in clients as they enter and interact positively with clients throughout their visit
  • Ensure clients complete waivers
  • Process payments
  • Answer questions and provide information to customers about PlayArts pricing, services and events
  • Clean and maintain playspace, cafe, and bathrooms and maintain desk duties throughout shift
  • Manage all incoming phone calls and business emails
  • Check, restock and order any necessary inventory (office, bathroom, cafe, janitorial, etc.) 
  • Run office related errands
  • Assist with setup and cleanup for birthday parties and events, manage clients and attend to the host's needs throughout event rentals

We are looking for candidates that are flexible, creative and collaborative team players that believe in our mission and core values. Classroom and/or child care experience preferred. State and Federal clearances and background checks are required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years customer service experience
  • Hospitality, events, or food service industry experience preferred
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Must have friendly and professional demeanor
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Candidates should be enthusiastic and team-oriented
  • CPR and First Aid Certified preferred
  • Candidates with PA Criminal History, FBI fingerprints, and PA Child Abuse Clearances preferred
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
