Digital Content Coordinator

Philadelphia Ballet is looking for someone who understands how digital and physical channels work together to convey a compelling brand story, drive revenue, and meet marketing goals. The right candidate is equally creative as they are analytical, and value the importance of being proactive and collaborating with others to get things done. This position requires a self-motivated team player with the ability to develop original content, as well as edit existing content to better suit our audiences.

Essential Functions:

  • Create daily original content (Instagram stories, social media feed posts etc.) that relates to the brand’s audience.
  • Create content with purpose that may directly engage customers while following brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate with marketing team and create clear calls of action that converts engagement into sales.
  • Coordinate with the Dancer Media Committee to collaborate on content strategy and execution.
  • Work closely with the Artistic team to deliver on vision and meet all brand standards and union guidelines.
  • Must be able to work independently and creatively.
  • Own day-to-day management of community response and engagement across PHB’s social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Curate and create engaging content for social media channels and email marketing initiatives
  • Prepare and schedule assets for all social channels
  • Assist in developing digital strategies to engage customers, grow our audience, build brand awareness, uphold brand standards
  • Organize and maintain content calendar and digital assets
  • Analyze key success metrics and provide  to track ROI of social strategy.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice, style, tone and visual identity across all channels.
  • Assist with A/B Testing, segmentation, and audience building
  • Brainstorm and pitch innovative social and digital strategies

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of social media experience
  • A proven track record of creating creative content and driving social engagement
  • Hands on experience in content management and social media strategy, planning and analytics
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite

Required Competencies: 

  • Detailed-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently
  • Superior verbal, written, copy editing, video editing and proofreading skills
  • Deep understanding of social media metrics, and a baseline understanding of growth marketing metrics
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and can prioritize them with deadlines in mind.
  • Passionate about dance, performing arts, and supporting the interests of a Philadelphia cultural treasure
  • Comfortable interfacing with executives and interns alike in a professional and productive manner
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships within a diverse and multicultural environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate well with others across all functional areas
  • Take appropriate steps to promote and enforce safe work practices within each area of responsibility in accordance with policies and protocols. 

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required as condition of employment.

Supervisory Responsibility:  None

Expected Hours of Work:

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

Philadelphia Ballet, the premier dance company in the Philadelphia region and one of the world’s foremost ballet companies, is seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to increase social media presence and assist in driving digital strategy. The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and analysis of Philadelphia Ballet’s social media and digital marketing strategy by growing and managing all owned platforms. This position will play a critical role in ensuring each channel reflects Philadelphia Ballet’s values and mission and is in alignment with the overall content and engagement goals of the organization. This role will also work to support email marketing efforts and overall marketing programs. This is a highly creative and collaborative role, with data being at the forefront of decision making.
