Arts Management Fellowship

Since 2001 The Fine Art Group, an international art appraisal and advisory firm, has endeavored to break the traditional ‘art advisory’ mold to provide a wide range of services tailored to the individual needs of private, institutional and professional clients as they engage with the global art market. We are a highly-respected source of independent advice for those buying or selling art, antiques and collectables. We are also market leaders in valuation services for the purposes of insurance, estate and tax planning and at the cutting edge of collections management. Tangible Asset Management is the umbrella term encompassing the three key elements of our business.

We are seeking an Arts Management Fellow to join our Philadelphia, PA office Fellowship Program to provide support to our larger Tangible Asset Management team, as well as Operations in general. The position will provide support of operational management while working hand in hand with our team of experienced appraisers and art advisors. Virtual opportunities available.

-       An outstanding work ethic and ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently and effectively

-       Described by their peers as "detail-oriented," “professional," and "accountable" 

-       Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive managing multiple projects on tight deadlines while internalizing direction 

-       A team player who takes initiative while working autonomously

-       A keen interest and corresponding work experience and/or studies in Art and Antiques.  Computer skills – Apple Mac OS, MS Office, Photoshop, Internet savvy

 

Train Opportunities include but are not limited to:

·      Research and catalogue antiques and fine art

·      Maintain and update client database

·      Provide office support for on-site client visits and appraisals

·      Format and edit documents for grammatical and spelling errors

·      On-site client visits and appraisals;

·      Create client presentations 

·      Photoshop, edit, and crop images

·      Photograph art and objects as needed

·      Assist with social media and digital marketing

·      Contact third parties, such as storage facilities or galleries, related to art advisory

·      Provide administrative & operational support to the Operations staff as needed
