Audience Service/Box Office/Front of House Manager

Position Summary:
The Audience Service/Box Office/ Front of House (FOH) Manager maintains the daily operations of The John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts box office and front of house duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain the daily operations of the Mullen Center box office and front of house duties; Provide box office customer service by phone, in person, and in fulfilling online sales, including Villanova Theatre productions; Manage Mullen Center’s ticketing software, including the selling, tracking and reconciling of printed on-site, printed at-home, and digital tickets; Manage, implement, and perform accounting for all ticketed and non-ticketed events in The John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts.
Design box office contracts for Mullen Center users, including settlement strategies; Generate accurate daily financial reports and seating records; Ensure compliance with system controls and cash handling procedures; Collect and maintain patron data and lists for effective communication and relationship development.
Hire, train, supervise, and schedule Mullen Center box office personnel and front of house personnel (e.g. concessionaires, ushers); Develop a knowledge of and positive relationship with University and external clients; Handle patron complaints or inquiries.
Perform additional duties and assist with special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Performing Arts/Athletic ticketing and front of house practices and procedures including relevant software and event safety.
3+ years’ managing a performing arts or athletic center box office (or similar) and/or Front of House operations.
Ongoing affiliations with area professional and university theatres, art centers, and theatrical industry organizations.
Must be an excellent communicator within an academic environment with an ability to instruct, supervise, and clearly explain ticketing and front of house information and procedures to diverse audiences (e.g., creative personnel, undergrad/graduate students, production staff, other University departments, academic departments, and external clients).
Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive relationships.
Working knowledge of M/S Office Suite; Working knowledge of professional ticketing software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates and/or Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience with administrating a subscription series, and digital ticketing is preferred.

Flexible work schedule – Days, Nights, and Weekends.
