Administrative Position

As Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with the School Director in a fast-paced and energetic environment to organize class schedules & student billing, settle issues for faculty and clientele, organize fundraising events, organize and oversee student & faculty concert events, special events, and scholarship auditions, and update the NBS website and promotional materials.

Essential Functions:

  1. Registration and invoicing of all current and incoming students. Update as needed
  2. Develop and plan concert & educational programs under the guidance of the Director
  3. General understanding of the bookkeeping system
  4. Assist Director with payroll process
  5. Discuss and resolve concerns of faculty and clientele as they arise
  6. Draft correspondence for the Director
  7. Work with the NBS Board of Directors
  8. Assist in the organization of fundraising events
  9. Help maintain thorough and accurate records for all events

Education/Experience:
College degree, 3 years of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience strongly preferred. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  2. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) a must. Experience with website design and updates on WordPress highly desirable.
  3. Attention to detail, accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  4. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking office environment.

Hours: Part-Time (2 – 6PM Monday – Friday; & 10 – 2 every other Saturday); Full-Time (Noon – 8PM Monday – Friday; & 10 – 2 every other Saturday) when school fully reopens and resumes daily post-COVID operations. Additional event & weekend hours are required as needed for concerts and events.    

Salary: Commensurate with experience
