Teen Lounge Teaching ArtistTeen Lounge at Fleisher Art Memorial is accepting project proposals from teaching artists for paid virtual residencies! Teen Lounge is a free, drop-in after school arts program providing young people ages 13-19 with opportunities to meet and collaborate with working Philly artists. Your proposal should offer young people an exciting opportunity to explore a theme of relevance to their age group.The submission deadline is Thursday December 10 for projects in January-February. Students will be interviewing applicants to select 4 visiting artists, who are compensated at $500 for 8 hours of instruction total. Workshops will be held on Zoom, once a week for four consecutive weeks, on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm. Teaching artists are also invited to join our Discord server as a supplementary space to share artwork and resources. 5-10 students attend our Zoom calls daily, from a variety of levels in art making experience and access to materials -- please keep this in mind when designing your workshop! Teen Lounge is a free, drop-in afterschool arts program providing youth ages 13-19 with opportunities to meet and work with working Philly artists, and collaborate with other young creators to build program curriculum and community. In light of COVID-19, all Teen Lounge programming has been moved to Zoom & Discord - we're seeking teaching artists to share their knowledge, creativity and inspiration in the virtual realm. |
