Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for supporting the execution of PHS marketing plans. This position performs a cross-functional role, working with teams across the organization to refine and update plans and maintain momentum against marketing goals.  Critical success factors include the ability to maintain excellent communications with staff, vendors and marketing partners.

 

This position requires experience supporting a multi-channel marketing strategy that includes social media engagement, event promotions, website marketing, paid media, e-communications, and database marketing.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordination

  • Executes tasks that support marketing goals, including:
    • Team support
    • Campaigns
    • Email marketing
    • Public relations
    • Digital media
  • Works with marketing team and vendors to implement work plans
  • Participates in weekly team meetings

 

Project Management

  • Inputs marketing project details into management software
  • Manages marketing project timelines
  • Facilitates review and approval process on marketing content and creative pieces
  • Keeps internal stakeholders updated on project progress
  • Provides oversight on projects as assigned

 

Reporting

  • Gathers data across channels and departments; provides progress reports and project recommendations

 

Budgeting

  • Maintains departmental records. Process invoices and collects payments as needed. Generates reports upon request.

 

Supervision

  • Provides direction to Marketing team interns when needed

 

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3-5 years strategic marketing experience
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain excellent relations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

 

Working Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of website content management, SEO and HTML a plus
  • Working knowledge of project management software: Trello, Asana, Monday.com

 

Other requirements:

  • Work in a seated position for 6 hours
  • Extended hours and days in support of key deadlines including the Philadelphia Flower Show
  • Lift/lower, push/pull and carry objects/parcels no greater than 25 pounds
  • Valid Drivers’ License
