Programming and Membership Internship
Dates:  August 2020 - December 2020 | Hours: 10 hours per week, flexible, mostly remote | Unpaid | Reports to Executive Director

The Programming and Membership Internship provides students and beginning professionals with a practical and educational experience running a community art organization. Interns work directly alongside our Executive Director and Exhibitions and Programming Director and become an integral part of our close-knit community. Previous interns have gone on to work for Penn Museum, Bryn Mawr College, UPenn, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the National Jewish Museum.  Some examples of responsibilities might include assisting with: 

  • Research, contracting and artist coordination for 2021 Exhibition Proposals 
  • Processing and acknowledging memberships, donations and event sponsorships
  • Running daily operations of maintaining a physical gallery space 
  • Artist contracting and coordination for Da Vinci Fest 
  • Prospect research for corporate partnerships for Da Vinci Fest
  • Basic website development and marketing support for Da Vinci Fest 
     

Desired skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A collaborative spirit and generous sense of humor. Our working culture is horizontal and depends on a high degree of autonomy and communication. 
  • Basic knowledge of Philadelphia museum and arts programming communities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and be computer savvy (social media, google drive, excel)
  • Must have own computer and be willing to intern at least two days a week (remote is allowed)
