Volunteers for The Friends of Laurel Hill & West Laurel Hill Cemeteries

The Friends of Laurel Hill & West Laurel Hill Cemeteries is seeking individuals interested in receiving advertisements for volunteer opportunities via an email list. If interested, your email will be added to a master list of dedicated past and present volunteers. Being added to the list merely assures that you will receive updates and calls for volunteers. Short term projects will require additional applications and possibly an interview, whereas event assistance is open to anyone 18 years or older. Being added to the list does not make participation mandatory; you may volunteer as much or as little as you choose.

Volunteer needs will include event assistance and special short term projects, as the need arises. Short term projects may include archival and administrative work, tour development, research, and database entry.

The Friends of Laurel Hill & West Laurel Hill Cemeteries is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1978 to preserve Laurel Hill Cemetery and make it available for the public. In 1998, Laurel Hill Cemetery was designated as a National Historic Landmark and remains one of the few cemeteries in the country to hold such an honor. In 2018, The Friends expanded to include stewardship of West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
