Meet an Alliancer: Kabria RogersEver wondered what it's like to work at the Cultural Alliance? We'll introduce you to members of our staff! This month the spotlight is on Kabria Rogers, our audience services manager! Job Title: Audience Services Manager Job Responsibilities: My primary responsibilities are to manage, develop and garner advertisement sales for the Philly Funguide and Philly Funsavers. I will act as a support for our Marketing Affinity Group and Accessibility and Diversity Cohort. Degrees/certificates: B.A. English Major with a concentration in writing, History Minor from Kings College. Past experience working in arts and culture: I spent four years working for Science History Institute. Amongst various roles, I was a Visitor Services Assistant in their museum for about a year. I greeted every person who came to the museum to learn more about the history of chemistry. Favorite thing about working at the Cultural Alliance (so far): It has been refreshing to work in a team that values having a good time as much as doing a good job. Favorite cultural institutions/attractions/events: This is never a short list but to list a few: Bartram’s Gardens, Awbury Arboretum, Penns Landing and West Fairmount Park. I am a big fan of LightsFest in Kennett Square--it is almost as magical as Christmas. A fun fact about yourself: I love to swim.
