Bus Driver - After School Art Program

Portside Arts Center is seeking a part time bus driver for our After School Art Program. A great candidate will be committed to safety, customer service and have genuine, caring attitude for children.

Portside is a non-profit 501c3 community arts center that provides children and adults with artistic opportunities to build self-esteem and awaken their inner creativity. 

Portside’s After School Art Program (ASAP) will be held from September 3rd - June 12th. Portside is seeking a bus driver to work five days a week from 2:30pm-4:00pm Monday - Friday. 

Requirements:

Must have a CDL license with passenger endorsement

Good verbal communication skills

  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and physical

Responsibilities: 

  • Picking children from school and safely driving them to the Portside Art Center
  • Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections 
  • Keeping bus tidy, throwing away trash left of bus every day
  • Locking bus each day
  • Taking the bus to get gas when needed 

Bus Route:

Portside Arts Center is located in the Fishtown/Port Richmond neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Portside picks up children from local private and public schools located nearby. Portside has a bus route for the driver to follow. 

Pay is $20/hr

Hours per week approximately 10
