Summary: 

The Corporate Relations Specialist, Institutional Support of Kimmel Center (KC), coordinates all supportive operations relative to the Director of Institutional Giving’s corporate and foundation fundraising.   Collaborates with Kimmel Center Marketing and Programming to coordinate all aspects of benefit fulfillment. This includes all on-site activation for corporate sponsors, sponsor recognition in promotional materials and working to ensure corporate promotional experiences that represent the sponsorship and partnership with the Kimmel Center. 

These operations include aspects of donor relations, proposal preparation, meeting scheduling and preparation, sponsor benefit fulfillment and event planning.

Essential Functions:

  • Stewardship
    • Secure Prospect/Donor tickets and provide guest seating information to Director.
    • Collaborate with KC Marketing and Programming Departments to seek additional cultivation opportunities, discount codes and complimentary tickets for sponsors and prospects whenever possible.
    • Coordinate with Manager of Special Events to help oversee mailings and invitations to core Institutional Support audiences
    • Serve as a liaison to corporate donors’ offices relative to assuring that sponsorship benefits are provided at various levels of giving.
    • Work interdepartmentally to serve as the primary internal contact for benefit fulfillment of sponsors by creating processes and procedures to meet deadlines and ensure recognition.
  • Proposal Writing and Creation:
    • Prepare proposals via cross departmental conversations and the gathering of Programming and Marketing opportunities available to potential sponsors.
    • Collect existing Marketing Materials such as brochures, and collaborate with Marketing and Development to create and maintain custom visual materials for fundraising packets, as needed by the CEO and Director.
    • Communicate with internal departments to learn of programming information and updates to secure and in many cases create materials that will be helpful in proposals and in fundraising meetings.
  • Meetings
    • Manage the calendar of the Director of Institutional Giving
    • Attend funder meetings with the Director of Institutional Giving as necessary.
    • Coordinate with the Manager of Donor Relations to help schedule Director’s external fundraising meetings and events.
    • Coordinate with Prospect Researcher to assure provision of proper research materials for Director’s and President’s fundraising appointments and events.
    • Maintain Director’s timeline with regard to project requests (needs lists) from the President and CEO of the Kimmel Center.
    • As needed: Manage President’s phone line and assume all executive assistant responsibilities when President’s Executive Assistant and Manager of Donor Relations are unavailable.
  • Database:
    • Input donor information in Tessitura database to maintain updated corporate and foundation information, help manage interns on these tasks.
    • Run Tessitura reports that reflect the current status of prospects and donors relative to fundraising.
    • Collaborate with IT department to generate custom reports that reflect evolving fundraising needs.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years previous work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the performing arts venues, major festivals, and/or non-profit arts organizations a plus
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills required
  • Strong organizational ability, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of regional corporate community members a plus
  • Ability to prioritize issues and requests, respond appropriately to multiple audiences is required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments
  • Ability to work in confidential, objective and professional manner
  • Advanced experience with  Excel, Word, PowerPoint required, digital presentations and knowledge of Tessitura database is a plus
