Group Event and Sales CoordinatorThe Group Sales and event Coordinator is responsible for managing all sales and rental-related activities for Historic Philadelphia, Inc. products, including Once Upon A Nation tours and History Makers, Franklin Square, and the Betsy Ross House facility rentals. The Group Sales and event Coordinator will increase group sales revenue by growing current client relationships, establishing new relationships with customers and partners, and identifying new revenue opportunities. Responsibilities Include: · Maintain and build relationships with 200+ tour operators as well as social and corporate groups. · Perform all sales-related activities, including maintaining existing client relationships, cold calling and prospecting, writing proposals, attending local and national trade shows, and attending local networking and industry events. · Coordinate sales strategies to ensure sales department is maximizing revenue. · Assist in evaluating group sales and event bookings to ensure programs/products are profitable. · Create and maintain annual sales goals, sales plans, and budgets. · Maintain revenue spreadsheets and profit & loss statements. · Communicate, collaborate, and maintain relationships with multiple other attractions in the historic district and Philadelphia tourism industry to help increase group exposure of HPI’s offerings. · Provide direction to the marketing team to develop marketing materials, including group planners, trade show profile sheets, brochures, etc. · Collaborate with programming department to identify new products and revise current programming to better meet the needs of HPI’s clients. · The position requires strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills, creative thinking, multi-tasking, and willingness to work in a team environment. · Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer skills needed. |
