Gardening and Greening Intern

Position Summary

The PHS Gardening and Greening Contest recognizes gardeners of all varieties and experience levels throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.  The Gardening and Greening Intern will help facilitate the Contest through its start in spring through judging and awards. The intern will also support PHS youth outreach program, Junior Flower Show.
 

Essential Functions

• Coordinate statewide outreach for judges to garden networks
•  Conduct judge’s registration with PHS Staff
• Compile Contest entries and map gardens utilizing GIS software
• Map judges using GIS software and pair panels with gardens to judge
• Manage the Contest photos
• Coordinate materials and assist at judge’s training
• Tally garden scores and winners
• Visit and judge area gardens
• Also, will assist with PHS Junior Flower Show curriculum design and judging
