Art Museum Drive Supervisor

How You Will Contribute
The Art Museum Drive Supervisor manages the Art Museum Drive Attendant team, providing consistently positive parking, arrival, and departure experiences. They lead Drive Operations, striving to deliver exceptional, empathetic, and responsive service that enhances the overall visitor experience for all visitors to the Museum and pedestrians around the Museum. 

Specifically, you will:

  • Manage activities in the parking garage, along Anne d’Harnoncourt Drive, the West Entrance and the North Entrance of the Museum. 
  • Oversee the quality of work for Art Museum Drive Attendants to ensure all work tasks and assignments are performed as required. Ensure that Art Museum Drive Attendants are well-informed and able to provide accurate information about the Museum and Philadelphia.
  • Manage updates and monitor parking system database to ensure all information is current. Provide training and supervision for accurate parking system use.
  • Be responsible for Parking Operations cash management, daily deposits/reconciliations, producing tracking reports, and maintaining parking system hardware.
  • Greet, escort, assist, and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the entrances and along Anne d’Harnoncourt Drive.  Demonstrate a proactive approach to serving both visitors and those just passing by, welcoming people to the Museum and providing assistance when needed.
  • Be responsible for managing the relay of buses while coordinating and maintaining clear communication with staff across the institution to ensure a smooth arrival and departure process for buses (adult and school groups). 
  • Calmly, courteously, and professionally respond to visitor concerns and complaints, and take actions to resolve them.
  • Support and when available participate in bi-weekly Public Planning meeting to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the activities that impact Drive Operations.
     

Your diverse background includes:

  • Previous customer service and cash management experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time outdoors with exposure to weather during all seasons.
  • Availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
