The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is seeking a full time Maintenance Mechanic to join our facility management department. This position will be responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of building fixtures, furnishings and equipment including plumbing fixtures, drywall repair, painting, lighting fixtures, etc. The Maintenance Mechanic will work along side the Senior Maintenance Mechanic and the Director of Facilities Management to engage contractors and manage timelines for building maintenance projects. This position will provide communication to all staff and students as needed.
This position will complete work order requests through a work order system for various facility tasks including instillation, repair and relocation of building fixtures, furnishings and equipment essential to the operations and success of the institution. This individual will be expected to complete associated paperwork in a timely manner to ensure proper communication and tracking of all tasks. The Maintenance Mechanic will need to keep supervisor aware of stock levels and materials needed. This position will assist with ordering materials and/or equipment as needed. Requirements:
