Learn more about the Bloomberg Arts Internship...

This is Philadelphia's Bloomberg Arts Internship, a summer internship for rising high school seniors attending a Philadelphia public school or public charter. An internship can give your college application a boost or help you along your career path, but not all internships are the same. Bloomberg interns spend their summers making the arts happen in Philly! Every year, we partner with dozens of museums, theaters and historic sites across Philadelphia to provide creatively challenging, meaningful, paid internship experiences. Some of our past worksite partners have included the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Asian Arts Initiative, Taller Puertorriqueno, Inis Nua Theatre Company, and many MANY more! Bloomberg interns redesign websites, run social media campaigns, conduct research, build art installations, and much more! But that’s not all. As an intern, you will develop your skills as a collaborator and public speaker, build a professional resume, and receive professional help writing your college essay.

This is an amazing opportunity to develop vital professional skills, explore Philadelphia’s rich arts and culture community and develop the perfect college application.

There’s more to arts and culture in Philadelphia than you know. Bloomberg Arts Interns get behind-the-scenes access to the inner workings of many of the city’s most iconic cultural institutions and participate in vital conversations about what makes the sector tick. A Bloomberg Arts Internship is more than a summer job, it’s a window into a whole world of professional opportunities.

What will the Bloomberg Arts Internship look like in 2021?

This summer, we are ready to provide meaningful professional development and cultural immersion opportunities to all of our interns, whether it’s virtually or in person. While our professional development workshops will be held online, we are holding open the possibility that, if circumstances permit, we’ll have a chance to safely hold at least a few in-person events. And though we assume most of the internships will be online, it’s likely that some of our worksite partners will also have some in-person activities.

If you’re ready to spend your next summer immersed in the arts, growing as a student and a professional, and building a new network of friends, click here to start your application.
