Interim Part-Time Operations Manager

Brian Sanders’ JUNK is looking for a talented and qualified Interim Part-Time Operations Manager to work approximately 20 hours a week. The position is expected to last 6 months. Experience is required in finance management (including bookkeeping and budgeting) and project management (including contract review, negotiation, and compliance). Nonprofit arts experience is a plus. 

The Interim Part-Time Manager will hold primary responsibilities in:

  • Grant and Fundraising Management
  • Operations and Financial Management

Grant and Fundraising Management

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that current grant requirements are met, including reporting and other grant-related activities.
  • Identifying and cultivating future funding opportunities, including corporate sponsorship and individual donor support.
  • Writing grant applications.

Operations and Financial Management

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial reports for the Board of Directors and funders.
  • Using QuickBooks to track expenses, revenue, and annual budget; to pay artists, independent contractors, and vendors; to create, send, and track invoices.
  • Managing CRM/donor database (Artful.ly); creating and distributing appeal letters and acknowledgments. 
  • Communication and collaboration with Board of Directors and pertinent committees regarding operations and financial management.
  • Working with Artistic Director and Board of Directors on programing, marketing and project management. 

Experience is required in finance management (including bookkeeping and budgeting) and project management (including contract review, negotiation, and compliance). The position is expected to last 6 months; approximately 20 hours a week.
