Museum Collections InternJOB TITLE: Museum Collections Intern SUPERVISOR: Development and Programs Manager; will work closely with the Collections Committee STATUS: 15 hours/week; unpaid
Wyck, an historic house, garden and National Historic Landmark, is located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The Wyck Association's mission is to tell the story of Wyck, the quietly elegant home, historic gardens, farm buildings, and collection of objects and papers that reflect the everyday life of one Philadelphia family over three hundred years. Wyck’s programs reflect the family’s passion for education, Quaker simplicity, and natural history and horticulture. Wyck is committed to enriching and strengthening community life. The Museum Collections Intern helps make Wyck's collections accessible to the general public, researchers, and Wyck's staff, by assisting with the day-to-day management of Wyck’s objects database, collections storage and files, interior environmental monitoring, as well as assisting with interpretive elements, such as exhibits.
