Visitor Services/Museum Store Associate - The Mütter MuseumVisitor Services / Mütter Museum Store Associate The College of Physicians of Philadelphia/Mütter Museum seeks a part-time (21-28 hours weekly including Saturdays and Sundays) The College of Physicians of Philadelphia advances the cause of health while upholding the deals and heritage of medicine. Founded in 1787, the College is the oldest professional medical organization in the country and home to: The Mütter Museum, The Historical and Medical Library, History of Vaccines Website, Center for Education and Public Initiatives, a full calendar of public lectures and events, and a busy facilities rental calendar. More than 150,000 guests visit annually. The Visitor Services/Museum Store Associate will handle a variety of duties including, but not limited to: -Admission Desk - selling tickets, memberships, information and recption desk duties. This position requires reliability, professionalism and excellent customer service and cash handling skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a complex, fast- paced environment is required. Computer experience and cash register experience is a must. Retail, museum reception or other related experience is preferred. Attention to detail and a positive, friendly demeanor is mandatory. Only those seeking long-term part-time employment should apply. Shifts are primarily Saturdays and Sundays (weekends) and holidays, 9am-5pm or 9:30am- 5:30pm. Weekend availability is required. As part of the Visitor Services/Museum Store departments, staff are expected to cover additional shifts on other days occasionally, so your schedule should be flexible enough to permit this.
