The Bearded Ladies Cabaret Seeks a Part Time - Full Time Production Coordinator
The Bearded Ladies Cabaret is looking for a production coordinator to join our staff and provide continual oversight of production needs over a theatrical season and in between projects on an ongoing basis and would Production Manage smaller events. Large events would require the hiring of a unique Production Manager reporting to this position, or would have a first-refusal right for Production Managment contracts for an additional fee. Position is part time initially with good full time potential.
Qualifications:

- The ability to both identify and solve problems creatively as they arise
- Experience with product and equipment sourcing, budgeting, hiring, and theatrical production management from inception to completion.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of technical theater including but not limited to lighting, sound, set, and costume is strongly preferred.
- Preference for applicants with extensive production management or stage management experience (3 years or more)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Google Drive functionality
- Comfort with gender and identity politics in discussion and practice
Other Requirements:
- Must love the word “Queer”
- Must be available on some nights and weekends
- Must be willing to make a one-year commitment to the position
Limited Job Description:
- Maintaining and creating systems of organization so information is easily accessible and sharable within the company
- Attend monthly Company Meetings and weekly staff meetings as your schedule allows
- Manage the budget for productions, large and small, in collaboration with General Manager
- Aid General Manager, Artistic Director, and Associate Director in organizing and preparing for future productions by assessing the current needs and assets and anticipating future ones
- Serve as Production Manager for small individual projects or promotional events
- Facilitate communication between venues, producers, Bearded Ladies’ staff, and production personnel
- Hire and manage production staff (Stage Managers, TDs, stage hands, etc.) and ensure all are on task and on budget
- Aid General Manager in contracting and payment of artists, designers, venues, etcetera
- Create and update production calendars and distribute to production staff
- Acquisition, organization and maintenance of storage space for local and touring shows for props, set, sound gear and costumes
- Work with General Manager to make shipping, travel and accommodations arrangement for tours and guest artists
What we offer:
- A flexible 15 hr/week schedule (dependent on production-specific needs). A minimum of 5 hours must be in the Bearded Ladies Office. Solid potential for this to turn into a full time position.
