The Business Side of Art. A lecture and lunch with Rosemont's Arts & Culture Society

Rosemont, PA —This fall the Arts & Culture Society of Rosemont College will present a lunch and lecture event for artists as well as those interested in learning how to make sense of the business side of art with Linda Dubin Garfield, Ed.D., founder of Smart Business Consulting. “The Business Side of Art” takes place on Rosemont College’s campus on Sunday, November 15, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The fee for the lunch and lecture is $25. For more information call 610.527.0200, ext. 2274.

“The Business Side of Art” lecture is designed for artists as well as those interested in learning how to incorporate the business side into their craft. The lecture will include tips about pricing, marketing, branding, public relations and getting work shown.  Smart Business Consulting recognizes that having a body of great work is only part of the equation for success; this workshop will help artists learn how to get their work into the public’s eye so it can be seen and bought.  All guests in attendance will have the opportunity to win a free one-on-one art-career consultation with Garfield.

This event is sponsored in part by Frames and Company (Newtown Square, PA), offering fine custom and do-it yourself framing since 1973. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Arts & Culture Society Bourse, awarded annually to qualified students studying the history of art and studio art.
