The Accidental Techie

Students will learn the basic components of a computer including hardware and software. We’ll peer inside the PC and complete hands-on exercises such as adding memory.

Understanding the concepts behind computer networks gives nonprofit staff the a general understanding of what hardware and software is involved in getting computers to communicate with each other either in the office or over the Internet

• Backup strategies
• Basic troubleshooting
• Firewalls – What are they and what do they do?
• User addition and deletion
