2010 Visionary Woman Awards honoring Wendy Ewald, Judith Leiber & Ann TemkinLaunched in 2003, the annual Visionary Woman Award recognizes women whose lives and careers have made a significant impact on the visual arts. As the first and only women’s visual arts college in the country, Moore College of Art & Design is honored to highlight the extraordinary achievements of women in the arts and provide powerful role models for our talented women students. In addition, proceeds from this unique Philadelphia event support Visionary Woman Scholarships at Moore, a four-year scholarship that is awarded to exceptional Moore students who demonstrate potential for great success and leadership in art and design. Moore is pleased to present the 2010 Visionary Woman Awards to Wendy Ewald, Judith Leiber & Ann Temkin. Wendy Ewald is a photographer with an international reputation for her collaborations with children, families, artists and teachers through her Literacy Through Photography program. Judith Leiber is renowned as the world’s foremost designer of couture handbags. Ann Temkin is the first woman to be the Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis Chief Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, having previously served as the Muriel and Philip Berman Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. |
